Zen
Tuesday morning I took my hubs, who suffers from chronic kidney stones, to the ER. He hardly ever goes anymore because it's always the same story - go home and pass it - and he hadn't been since long before Covid. He has a 10mm/1 cm stone massively blocking urine from going through on the left side and his kidney was twice the size it should be. He had a tube inserted into the kidney to relieve pressure. We assumed he would have surgery to remove the stone yesterday. Instead, they sent him home with the hope of surgery in two weeks, with a bag attached to his kidney. So... Less than fun.
It's been a rough few days for all of us. Just look at my face and eyes. Yikes! 🤪
Last night after we got home and settled in, I waited up for my daughter to get home from her job at PetSmart. She buys things for our pets now and then and I saw her pulling the tags off this turtle. I assumed she would hand it to our dog Hunter.
Instead she turned and gave it to me. She said I know it's a pet toy but I know you like turtles and I thought you would like it so I got it for you. It's name is Zen - it was on the tag. And she gave me a hug.
OMG did my heart melt.
Sometimes you just need a little reminder that you are loved and that things will be ok.
Sometimes you just need a little reminder to hold a little
